For how few money can you get a ticket London – Honolulu and back?

For Europeans, Hawai is about the biggest trip they can make unless they are astronaut and travel in space. Hawai is about at the other end of the world.

With Jetradar you can already book a flight from London to Honolulu for only € 780 but pay attention there are some pitfalls linked to these cheap flights. The first is valid for most bookings with Jetradar. You need a credit card to pay. But there are few exceptions. Budgetair is one of them. So how will you continue the Jetradar search engine if you have no credit card? On the search page (e.g. on “Random flight to Honolulu“) you go to the sidebar until the last left menu item: ONLINE TRAVEL AGENCIES. Open this menu and only check the agencies that admit payments with Paypal or Bancontact. Then adapt your search and so on. You can go further and also uncheck the airlines you’re not intended to fly with. In another post we’ll give you the payment methods in more detail.

The the second pitfall: in the price of these cheap bookings often the price for the luggage is not included. As maybe you know this by experience, this causes some extra problems in airports and can also surprise you unpleasantly. With some search experience, you will know which airlines don’t include luggage in their price. Mostly these airlines have the cheapest flights but you can better skip them if you want the cheapest flight. Unless you really know from beforehand what the airport will charge you for the luggage. Other airlines, as Norwegian Airlines at the time this article is written, do charge for a luggage online (117.98 € for the smallest luggage), but it is extra on the price you see in the search results of Jetradar. Korean airlines are the best on this point, the first results for a new airline on Jetradar tell you how much bags of luggage are included in the flight and for which weight.

Luggage included online tickets

Most flight search engines don’t have these ultra cheap flights and we just skipped them because the more expensive ones give more certainty about luggage being included in the price. if you can pay with a credit card we leave the search up to you which flight engine is cheaper.

The flight from London to Honolulu over Seoul takes about 26 hours to go and 40 hours to return. The time between two flights in the trip to Honolulu only takes two till six hours, that’s not much, not even the time to take a hotel in between. But on the trip back home you have more time to find some sleep. For the shorter trip flight with a stop of long duration can be boring because you’re obligated to book for a hotel on a place you can’t visit because of lack of time. As it all goes in a hurry then you often waste more money for a taxi than you paid for your hotel.

Stop cities for different airlines

Maybe the pricing is for you less important than the cities of the stops, although you can’t see much of a city during a flight.

With Turkish airlines, you can choose between a stop in Istanbul or one in San Francisco. But the luggage is not included in the price. And the trip back is not guaranteed with the same air company.

With Norwegian airlines, you go via Los Angeles but there is the issue with luggage payment as I already told. You can only select the airline of the trip to your destination until the first stop. The rest you have nearly to accept.

Westjet, in case you don’t skip it because of that luggage question, flies over Calgary in Canada.
